Kenji Kitano was born in Ōsaka in 1962 and bred in Suō-Ōshima, a little island in the Inland Sea, Yamaguchi Prefecture. Graduated from College of Humanities, University of Tsukuba, with a degree in philosophy. A former editor. A shrine and temple enthusiast, who also likes reading at random, appreciating music, art, films, plays and dance, and taking a trip. No accomplishment but drinking some.
